The Amazing Spider-Man 2

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than himself. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp.

This movie is not as bad as people say it is. Yes, Harry’s goblin was ok. Rhino in that mechanical suit was goofy and didn’t work, but the rest of it was good. Foxx as Electro was pretty compelling

All three spidermen are good in their own ways. I don’t think it’s fair to really compare them with each other. Even with other characters such as Harry osborn. I have personal preferences but i guess they were portrayed differently in each movie. James franco’s had space for growth while this harry is just tortured to begin with. I want all of them to appear in the multiverse movies.

Seeing these older trailers bring back good times, when the trailers didn’t spoil to much, or hint to much, and brought just the right amount of suspense to a goo movie.

I love the touch of the vocals with Electro going “They Lied to me, They Hate on Me, They’re Dead to Me” It’s very good at showing us his thoughts & blending it with the music

I need extended VERSION OF THIS FILM !!!!!!!!!! BUT SPIDER-MAN 3.1 FIRST SONY!!!!!

  17. Devin Franco on January 14, 2022 at 2:06 pm

If Sony gave Andrews spider-man more of a detailed story his films would have been the next step in graphics behind obviously Toms being out in the present, Andrew is my favorite spider-man and the best swinging spider-man in my opinion, i wish they developed his movies longer, they rushed them all. the lizard was a good villain but if electro was like no way homes version and if they added Rhino and made Rhino as the spider-man (PS4) version that would have been a lot more accurate. TASM3= Sinister 6 make it happen SONY! Peters ending with his MJ

Here’s a fun experiment for everyone: watch this film with the perspective of it being a tragic love story rather than a superhero film. When you watch it like a tragic love story, it’s golden.

Echoing what everyone else already knows, but the chemistry between Andrew & Emma in this series was incredible. I like that Sony took that feedback from the first TASM & developed TASM2 with that chemistry as the focal point because TASM 2 was one of the best Spider-Man movies to me. No Way Home blew me away, but I honestly always thought that Spider-Man 2 w/Tobey was always going to be hard to beat.

I think the NWH made this film more tolerable, if not great. It is easier to accept this version knowing it is only one of many universe’s Spider-Men; there is no wrong or right PP/Spider-Man. It’s much easier to swallow after loving the original trilogy and given this reboot-version not long after SM3 wrapped up. That trilogy defined SM and TASM series was seen as a rival because it wasn’t released much long after the Raimi trilogy concluded.

In my opinion the special effects and visuals are far better in the amazing Spiderman movies than in the newer MCU spider movies. This is still one of my favorite movies. It really shows how tragic Spiderman’s story really is and this one portrays it the best.

I said it when this released, and I’ll say it again. Andrew and Emma were fantastic. The rest, not so much. Harry is horrible… the story sucked. Electro looks stupid. Andrew deserved so much more.

  49. Al Cahallic on January 14, 2022 at 2:41 pm

I always thought that Garfield’s Spiderman did not have a third film because the second one did badly as far as profits, but I just read that it had to do with different studios fighting one another and not being able to resolve the conflict led the third project to be abandoned. Maybe now they can create a trilogy.

This was one of the most forgettable movies I have ever seen. I literally slept through it in the theaters and had to rent it on release to finish it. This movie falls flat in every stratum of filmmaking. The only scene worth the watch was the tower falling scene. It appears that they put forth their entire budget and effort into making that scene bearable.
