Hi everyone nobody asked but I’m sharing the BEST living room trends for 2021 and how you can actually start to incorporate them in your home. I love analyzing design trends because it is so interesting to see how people will interpret them in their homes. Interior design trends are almost always dictated by the times. Because we are spending so much time at home we will definitely be seeing a running theme of creating a cozy, nature inspired, maybe even global design.

I love the light colored sofas! Unfortunately I’m so scared of getting one because I have black dogs that are too cute to kick off the couch 😏 I’m going to have to go with what I like because I just have no style and just bought a bunch of black and white boho pillows that don’t seem to be trending haha

Although I like a mix of old/new, high/low, neutrals/brights, modern/vintage/boho/mid-century/industrial, I do not care for RH styling. I might like one or two of their accent pieces, but that’s about it.

"Go with things that speak to you." But I would add, be careful. I have FALLEN IN LUST with items that I felt I couldn’t live without but fell out of love with them just as fast. I’ve learned that if the attraction is sky high, I should definitely wait on it -usually a year.
Love that you mentioned Grandmillenial even though you aren’t totally drawn to it. I think there are more aspects of that style ‘ethos’ happening these days than we think, ie: not adhering 100% to any specific style label, or even that rattan lampshade you have has a natural, yet originally kinda grandma, vibe. I could see you incorporating a wool Suzani instead of a quilt-quilt. I think it will be interesting to see our generation’s take on the idea of what people are calling grandmillenial. We went through a damn pandemic so we realize that life is precious and you should hold on to a few things that are special! Stay well!! xoxo

Definitely into the neutrals and I just got a different oatmeal colored textured sofa from VFC. It came with pillows but I don’t like them. Can you mix textures and what are good combinations for mixing pillows with textured sofas?
Am I the only one that detests light sofas? LOL. But I’m a bohemian girl so…yes to the warm nature inspired colored sofa. I feel like these super light sofas are the next “all white kitchen” and soon to go out. Hated that too, but my daughter loved it.
Been going antique shopping but haven’t found anything cute to balance out my glam modern decor style
Funny how everybody is different. I absolutley can not stand anything with a ruffle on it. I’m older but it seems so grandma. Especially on furniture. I’m not fond of curved furniture either. I actually love the comfy warmth of my leather furniture. I prefer square or rectangle instead of round tables. Textured rugs blankets are very nice. Love all your videos thank-you.

I love a light sofa! I was so nervous at first but I went for it and I love it. Plus it’s not as hard to keep clean as I thought
I feel as though the 80’s trend has been around for awhile at least in fashion.
So before watching this video I didnt know how to describe my home style… so I guess its restoration hardware with some colour.
What is affordable to me is… Value Village lol 2 grand for a couch… meanwhile I am spending that on a custom velvet peacock blue sectional.
I love the lighter colored sofas, BUT, I am a dog owner, and my dogs have BLACK fur…which of course gets everywhere. I need to go with a sofa that doesn’t show off the dog fur as much.
Won’t do feathers it’s animal abuse.
