I love the Teal Zeal and Gulfstream colors.
Hi
My favorite color is teal, so I love this video. When I complete the more urgent work on my house, it will be painting time
Love seeing examples of colors in use. Very helpful.
My two favorite teals were left off the list. I really love Sherwin Williams Bahama Bay and Behrs Watery
Arsenic is a lovely color! I used it inside an over 100+ yr old built in cabinet at my parents old house. I was pleased some time after my parents passed… the new homeowner’s loved the color and kept it! The reason I felt like the inside of the cabinet needed paint- there was a tornado that almost completely destroyed the home and the water damage peeled off about 6 layers of wallpaper inside it.
Sherwin Williams, hands down!
I want to paint the outside of the house, black and white. But on certain features I want to use some blue teal shades. Any suggestions please.
I am a big fan of Benjamin Moore paint, it doesn’t fade in the sun and it gives amazing, quality coverage. I knew a painting company owner who said terrible things about some other paint company’s quality. Not all of them…. just some. I can’t believe you had the strength to resist including the famous BM Palladian Blue and the hidden secret BM Blue Grass, not to mention alllllll the other gorgeous pale teals like Slate Teal! Aegean on your screen looked brighter and lighter than I see it online, where it is an sxquisite subdued, rich perfect teal! Grey Cashmere is said to hav blue green understones, too!!!
Thank you. I love teal, but I think it’s a bit of a tricky color.
Between 2005-2010 we painted our kitchen and sunroom SW Drizzle, a teal color I still miss. It went with all shades of wood furniture too. It’s similar to the SW teal stencil you mentioned. Seems I’m drawn to SW colors more so and I like their color swatch cards in stores but our painter friend only uses Ben Moore paints so I get it color matched. Thanks for this video❣️
Benjamin Moore seems to have my favorite color palate , and the colors that are most sought after by my customers, especially for interior jobs. I’ve been doing a lot of Main and Trim 2 color selections on interiors and find customers like the grays and whites from Benjamin Moore over the other brands. Revere Pewter for a main color and Dove or Decorators White for the trim color has been a popular choice.
These days Sherwin Williams colors are the ones I keep going back to. Behr is ok too, but I like the SW Emerald paint better. I tried Ben Moore but always ended up using artists tints to change the color again when I got home. 😄
17 years ago, I painted my front door a color very similar to Oceanside. I love it. it looks so regal.
used benjamin moore bavarian forest recently. obsessed with dark greens and like that this colour has a bit of blue in it. you should definitely do a video on greens since they seem so popular right now! and limewash paint 🙂
Painted our living room BM Aegean Teal. Painted our bathroom BM Ash Blue which is a beautiful balanced deep turquoise.
As a brit we have different dulux colour names and some colours we don’t have at all. Teal tension is beautiful I have it in my kitchen, looks similar to the Christmas spruce you get.
Because you asked…..I believe Farrow and Ball paints are dependable color choices. I don’t think there is a color that is unappealing in the whole line. I splurge on their paint for important areas. I used on front door, entryway and halls and living room. The pigment,in each color I used, stays vibrant with varying natural light conditions and under artificial light as well. It’s my favorite paint but so expensive. For less important spaces like bedrooms and bathrooms I tend to pick colors from Benjamin Moore’s palette and buy Sherwin Williams paint during their sales. (So to be clear, I ask the Sherwin Williams clerk to mix a Ben Moore paint formula and they appear to be willing and happy to do it. ) In my opinion, all the premium paints apply well enough that it’s really price that is the more important variable. Sherwin Williams does run good sales at least twice a year so I plan projects around them.
Gulfstream, just what I am looking for a laundry room in a coastal plan for the house.
I love your videos! So much to learn about color. I was hoping to see Benjamin Moore’s Blue Danube on this list. I so want to use this color on my lower kitchen cabinets! I hope you will do a Color Code episode on Blue Danube sometime. Thanks so much.
I seemingly am a regular at the Sherwin Williams’ store, so I am fond of them. But, I have seen great colors and selections from Valspar and Benjamin Moore. I previously posted how I did my master bathroom cabinets this summer in a deep teal (Sherwin Williams’ Moscow Midnight), and had painted the walls Sherwin Williams Blustery Sky. After living with the bathroom like that for three months, I felt like the blustery sky was making the Moscow Midnight muddy in comparison, and Blustery Sky is hard to look at in artificial light, so I just had my walls repainted Sherwin Williams’ Modern Gray this week. Now, the cabinets are finally popping and fun to look at, and my eyes can "breathe" from the lighter wall color.
The Paint People all the way! Great vids, Teal vibes!! 😀
Under Armour supports trophy hunting. I can’t watch cause all I see is that logo and dead animals.
I love teal !
what is your opinion about Teal Ocean 2049-30 (Benjamin Moore) for an entire bedroom?
I love Farrow & Ball’s colors, but I stick with Benjamin Moore.
What colour is it this year,Brown..with added essence bullshit smell..waffting..in the air.
I’ve recently discovered Farrow and Ball paint colors. I have never use their paint, but I am in love with the color peignoir so I might make the leap.
I am here because I just choose Vardo F&B and I am going to paint all my Master Bedroom on it. Am I crazy? I have 3 big windows, the drapes will be linen ivory, and all my trim, french doors are white, there is a black big modern barn door to the bathroom, most of my furniture will be white oak, light grey, ivory and caramel leather.
Farrow and Ball have beautiful colors would love to try
I have a large dark chocolate brown Roman shade which dominates my office.
So I’m thinking lighter teal w/ white window trim.
what would you recommend for laundry room facing west with a small window (very minimal natural light)?
James,
I am a painting contractor but not a professional decorator. I would like to think after 25 years of painting that I have a good eye for what works, but with new colors coming out every year staying on top of the trends takes doing some homework. Your channel is a great! I share it with my customers who also think you do an amazing job with your color descriptions. Thanks for all the info!
Benjamin Moore is my absolute favorite I covered lime green with baby blue one coat no primer come on that’s awesome paint
