Ahhhhh, finally…I thought I saw a filipina actress peeping in one of your video…I’m so glad I’m right…I’m filipina and is very much into decor. I renovate flats we own which we rent. I have them in the historic center, think Pantheon, Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Farnese where palazzos are from 14th, 16th etc century.

I used to love the farmhouse look. However, after seeking the internet for inspiration on new bedding every single person is all about white on white on white on white. And I was just like seriously? How boring. You were the only one I found that mixed it up with some color and I was just like FINALLY someone who gets it 😆

I’m definitely on team granny chic 😅 Give me all the rose patterns and lace 😍

  8. Jacko B on December 13, 2021 at 12:44 pm

I feel like the marble trend is going to have the same fate as pink toilets and olive refrigerators.

  9. Ramon Gaitan on December 13, 2021 at 12:44 pm

The grand millennial trend is my favorite. I love prints and patterns but keeping most things classic because they last the stand of time. I also love the natural textures mixed in with the traditional and some more contemporary pieces. Once again I love your approach to these videos

  10. Karen Hale on December 13, 2021 at 12:44 pm

I love the white marble Bowl that’s beautiful! That, is acceptable.

    ❤️❤️❤️

  23. Ann Silliman on December 13, 2021 at 12:57 pm

Vintage is wonderful as is antique but my biggest fear is that it may have been left in a musty/moldy area
I can’t be near mold so I worry about things having been kept in damp places.

  24. Mark and Carolyn Robitaille on December 13, 2021 at 12:59 pm

I love your zippy attitude and especially your cute little laugh.

  25. Gus Romana Lucero on December 13, 2021 at 12:59 pm

Shocked when you said “pero” hahaha you’re really a Filipino.. with that classic pinoy humor. 🤣😆 Love youuuu!

  26. Debra Biggane on December 13, 2021 at 1:01 pm

I saw in a recent video that you plan to reupholster your vintage chairs. Another option ( if they are vinyl or leather) would be to paint them with Fusion Mineral Paint. There are several color options available, and I believe the manufacturer even has an instructional video out on repainting leather furniture.

  27. Karishma Tripathi on December 13, 2021 at 1:03 pm

  31. Carol Brown on December 13, 2021 at 1:10 pm

I hate wall paper, pets shred and it peals. You also can not change it up like you can paint!

  32. Barbi C. on December 13, 2021 at 1:10 pm

Arvin I need your help in a unique way to have decor for shoes. We don’t wear shoes inside our home so when come in we take them off but I need an idea of a piece of furniture that is beautiful but practical. Thank you!

  37. Donovan Reimer on December 13, 2021 at 1:19 pm

If only this guy could speak without errors and increase his vocabulary. If he learned to speak sort of as well as his visual tastes suggest, could be much more appealing.

  38. Emma Smith on December 13, 2021 at 1:21 pm

    I agree with you.

  39. Carol Brown on December 13, 2021 at 1:21 pm

I may be nuts but I like brick walls rough style in kitchens etc.

  40. Meowma on December 13, 2021 at 1:23 pm

I saw teddy bear pants and a sweater shape in Aritzia today and it creeped me out…very pyjama-like and unsophisticated.

  43. Catherine Casas Tadea on December 13, 2021 at 1:26 pm

Yay! Kumusta ka kabayan? I’m hooked and been watching your videos for a week now. When i heard the word “lola”, it made me paused the video. Kakaproud naman 😃👏 Ang galing mo and i so love your style, mapasabahay and fashion 👌 Kudos!!!

  44. Maria Barradas on December 13, 2021 at 1:31 pm

Like mirror furniture and so many other trends in a few years we will say: "what was I thinking?" about curved sofas, the ocasional chair, sure, maybe but a huge curved sofa?…

  45. Karen Hale on December 13, 2021 at 1:32 pm

We are not doing Bold Stone!

  46. Laraine Mielko on December 13, 2021 at 1:32 pm

I just finished redecorating my living room. I loved it yesterday…today I’m nauseous. The new trends are jaw dropping… home decor needed a fresh change

  47. Mary Eliason on December 13, 2021 at 1:33 pm

I don’t decorate my home. I surround myself with timeless things I love. Some I have collected for years. My home is where I live. I appreciate a variety of styles & the only one I am uncomfortable in is a home that looks like a model home/generic. I love your channel. You are unique & talented & have an opinion with a POSITIVE attitude.

  48. Bea Alvarez on December 13, 2021 at 1:33 pm

Omg! I knew it. You’re Filipino. Been watching like 6 eps in a row now coz I love your ideas but also because Im sensing something familiar. Haha and when you said Lola.. like omg.. hello kabayan! Love your contents. Im inspired to spiced things up at home.

  49. Tim Ward on December 13, 2021 at 1:35 pm

Hi Arvin! I’m just wondering where the trends come from. Is it the paint manufacturers who tell us what their color of the year is? Is it designers such as yourself? Is it what Home Depot, Lowes, IKEA, Pottery Barn, and high-end retailers decide to buy and then push? All of the above? Or is it just what seems to sell the most? I ask because it took me about six months to put together my mid-century modern living room in the scales and colors that I wanted (red-gold-orange). On the other hand, cool colors, whites, and earth tones could be found everywhere. It seems to me that trends are not driven by individual tastes as much as individual tastes are forced to follow the trends.
