Susie looks like she could be Greta Thunberg’s big sister.
I’m in Western Kentucky and I almost never see an armadillo.
Don’t say pro Luke
The lion den is all over.
i would love to drive across america but my skin color says NO!
What is the name of the song at the end of the video and who sings it. I really like that song.
People proud of their heritage = Don’t know history
Incredibly haughty and dismissive. Perhaps it is YOU that does not understand history.
This three part video series is, by far, the best adventure video put on YouTube so far in 2020. Even beats out Steve Wallis’s recent boat trip adventure.
You lost me about getting PC on American heritage. Get a backbone
Every 5 mins or so is ANOTHER commercial. Later
Looks like a grader to take the bumps out of dirt road
Drag it behind your vehicle and it leaves the road.smooth
Thank you all very much for joining Susie and I for the first part of this adventure!
This is part 1 and involves the first 3 days as we make our way across the country to Colorado.
Part 2 is the backpacking adventure which will be up next week.
Part 3 is the return trip and once all three have gone up, I will be releasing the full adventure all in one video which is 2.5 hours long.
Also, I did a Premiere with this video which I know little about…..like this? Dislike it? Let me know.
Thanks again everyone.

You see dead armadillos everywhere because they are overpopulated. Armadillos have spread from their natural range to places like Kentucky, where they did not used to live.
"We just left Denver, Thank god"…..amen, brother….
Awesome video! Iβve subscribed and have been enthused to watch all I can watch. I live in Nashville and think itβs great that you live fairly close. Iβm looking for all the info I can absorb to help me get to the point I can start camping. If you are in Nashville please feel free to contact me.
Thanks for all you do for those who backpack, camp and for us that want to.
That is what a road trip is supposed to be. No hotels/motels, no IHOPs (although an occasional greasy spoon is ok). Done many trips like this. Excellent video. Really enjoy the videography, the music, and the narration. Well done. Cheers from Canada. FYI if you think Colorado roads are bad, try Michiganβs
Beautiful long-form video. Loved every moment.
Colorado has strict tax limits. I think it is a constitutional amendment. Yep. Really screwed up.
Hot fook
I drive a semi and yes I70 Colorado sucks!!!
When you need some milk do you order online and wait? No. Same for the sudden urge for a newer, bigger, better, more powerful "Adult novelty item" It’s as simple as "why wait?"
I was born in Kentucky and I have NEVER seen an armadillo in that state. I wonder when they moved in!!!
I40 to I24 ?
This may be one of the best videos on YouTube in this genre. Long story but I’ve been stuck in hospital for weeks and to see the outdoors like this is much appreciated. I’ll be back out there soon….
Call Lee you just made me chuckle when you said that you’re doing a trip tally survey whatever you want to call it I used to do that when I was a kid and I did it with my daughter especially when we went down to Florida so yeah man alive this is such a great Channel thank you
Hot and humid, then windy and stormy. Welcome to Illinois.
Catch-up time. Loving this – my favourite kind of video, together with the Robert E Fuller wildlife videos. Thanks Luke and Susie!
This is one of my favourite videos you’ve done. Your camera work is getting good. Love the little close ups on bugs too π And the music was great. Can’t wait to the the rest of your adventure.
On your nextadventure, you 2 should try western Montana. I was planning on going but if you visited, they wanted you to stick around for an additional two weeks to make sure you didn’t go home sick.
Abandoned railroad rail. Possibly a frog. Part of the switch what trains use to go from one. track to another.
the best thing about the south is desmond doss
lol. She called you out! Better at filming than driving! Jk. My wife does the driving too!
for bug net on truck maybe a magetic strip the weak ones that flexi just glued on as then you could stretch out net and add a bit off extra space, or if wind comes net fixed so not blow in or around. that became one bad fire bet you glad you had left before all those places where evacuated
As a Colorado native, our small mountain towns definitely needed and still need the support β‘ thank you so! I love watching all your adventures and advice!

Looks like an old angle side piece for a cattle crossing.
DOES SHE HAVE A OLDER SIS BRO? COLD WEATHER GIRLS ARE A TURN ON..LOL
25:56 Likely won’t get a response but does anybody know what the title of this track is? Such a lovely little beat. Really love it.
Love Colorado, it’s my imaginary hometown. And yes I do smoke it.
Now you know what everyday looks like for me, except you guys have better truck stop choices! I wish I could park overnight at a national park! You guys should hit up the Mark Twain national forest in the SE corner of Missouri, near Memphis Tennessee on one of your future trips… It’s gorgeous!
LMAO . I love her voice
Awesome video thanks for taking us along , some beautiful scenery
Free Penny Lane Ippolito from DHS in fort Collins co,
Two biggest mistakes
1 having to go to great mistakes naval base…. Very familiar with the craziness that takes place there you never hear about
2 driving or staying in Illinois….. 42 years in Chicago before moving to TN ill say this IL is meant to be driven thru don’t stop don’t spend money there and never take 90/94 thru down Chicago always take 90 till you hit 294 and go around shitcago
she makes driving down 40 peaceful LOL
I noticed the same thing with political signs here in Texas on my last road trip. 90% of the signs were red but 52% of the votes went red. So a few very vocal people skew the impressions.
We are just coming out of our second lockdown. We have experienced problems with tourists coming to Scotland and other parts of the UK. Evidently everyone started to realise how bad it was and stayed away.
Just stumbled across you channel and I’m enjoying your vids while I’m still stuck working from home. I had to comment real quick though when I heard you discussing the political yard signs across America. There was a great meme going around, and I’m sure you’ve seen it by now, but essentially it said that based upon those signs across America, it looks like Biden will finish third behind Trump and Firewood for Sale. Great content, new subscriber.
Luke And susie .were looking for a good hot tent ..what brand should we buy….
Hi Luke, Dave here from Melbourne, Australia. Love you reviews and road trips. I have been to California & Las Vegas, loved every minute of it.
I see you dont like hot weather mate, it gets up to 46 degrees Celsius here where l live. You can cook an egg on the road.
Keep up the great content…
Agreed, Luke. If you can at all take the time, take the back roads….
So is your driver’s license suspended, Luke? <jk>
