It was always my dream to have a van when I was a youngster until I was run down by an unlicensed drunkard and so badly injured I’m medically banned from driving 43 years on and they let the guy off without charges because someone was paid off.

Nice – but I wouldn’t share that space (Introvert here, so nope I can’t deal with people 24/7)…don’t know how you people do it, that would only lead to fights, shouting and tears!
Our freedom to travel in #Portugal without major restrictions is coming to an end. Starting 9th of January, there’s a new Law that prohibits overnight stays and parking in ALL places that are not designated for #Motorhomes or #Campervans (for the entire Portuguese territory).

For us who have been traveling full-time for two years in our #van that has been legalized and has all the conditions to be self-sufficient, this is a major attack on our freedom. Our lifestyle is compromised when this freedom of choice is taken away.
For those who follow us, mainly on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/travelinspirept), you know that we always practice and promote this way of life in a responsible and conscious way, always respecting space and nature, showing others how to do the same. This situation that is happening in Portugal, makes us deeply sad.
