since my original nyc studio apartment tour (and my first youtube video ever) last november, i’ve made a few big changes — especially in my bathroom and kitchen. now that i have some new decor pieces, finally have it *fully* finished, and a own real camera instead of just my iphone, it seemed like a good time to film an updated look at my 320 sq feet quirky/eclectic/mid century modern-inspired apartment.

Wow… You have a good eye for what works… I just downsized from a house to a Co op as an older lady, empty Nester.. And first time I could really decorate how I wanted. 750 square feet… And I am sorry to say I did not do such a great job.. Except for my art work that I love.. A lot from Red Bubble.. And my large bedroom came out pretty well.. The living room just did not flow right, because I kept some school furniture.. Antique and had redone… They just take up space the wrong way… Can’t explain… I just ordered a new sofa.. Hoping it flows visually better… I did not want the furniture to match like a cookie cutter… You made your place unique but easy on the eye and flow, too.. Not just physical flow, but eye flow.. It looks great! I love your furnishings and decor. Only thing I would change is maybe the way the curtains are held open? I would suggest hooks (don’t know what the correct term is for curtain-holding thingies!) at each side of the window so that you can just drape each curtain over them to hold the curtains back.

Your apartment is the perfect mix of quirky and sophisticated. One question–did you consider switching the locations of your "living" and "bedroom" areas so that you have a view out the window from your sofa? Just curious, I’m always interested in the layouts people choose and why
