Thank you for the reviews. It really helps to have some informed info to go to. Utah is definitely on our bucket list.

Excellent! We’ll be staying at Escalante Cabins & RV Park in about 4 weeks to do the Grand Staircase and Bryce areas. NOTE: Dead Horse Ranch State Park is in Cottonwood, AZ and is in the Sedona area. We stayed there back in March and the place is AWESOME! Hiking right from the campground, HUGE sites and QUIET. Just water & electric with a dump station at the entrance. Just subbed also a sub for your other channel for quite a while now πŸ™‚ Thanks, Jared!!!

I love living here in Utah. I tell anyone looking for a place to camp in Utah just throw a dart at a map. It will more then likely hit a great place to camp!

You missed Canyonlands Needles …. the campsite in the park is fantastic. Great place to stay and hikes right from there!

I just went through Zion and had a very unfortunate experience. The web site for Zion said the South campground was first come first serve. Both my self and another RV got there by 8 AM the ranger said "no" it was "reservation only" and it had been that way for 3 years. The web site also said they had over flow space and no they did not! The ranger said that we could park on the BLM land just out side of the park which I drove another 25 miles before I found it and by then I was fed up with Zion. I kept driving on into NV where I found plenty of nice campgrounds where I was the only one there! So don’t believe everything you read on websites.

We have just come back from the Moab area, we stayed on BLM 143 for FREE for 4 nights. Our first boon docking experience! Couldn’t have been better. We went to Arches, what a hike! Dead Horse Island in the Sky, beautiful. And Canyonlands, stunning!
So much fun we have plan to go back next year, by the way for us it’s a 2500 mile round trip with a 20 foot 6500 lb camper.

Also, RVs especially fifth wheels are growing and there are many now over 40 feet and more slides on both sides requiring larger camp spaces. It is often difficult to find information unless it is a private RV park. So, I suggest you include more of this kind of information in your videos.

This video has a bunch of the major campgrounds listed, plus a few of the lesser known ones. But I can look that up anywhere.

Here are some important things to know about camping in southern Utah: (1) Might be useful to note that the national park campgrounds fill up 6 months ahead of time. (2) Would also be useful to know how to deal with the first-come-first-in campgrounds, like at Bryce.

Beautiful but very crowded, it has been found. Come in the off season.

We stayed at Kodachrome Basin State Park last June. It’s only 40 minutes from the entrance to Bryce Canyon National park. Kodachrome basin campground was beautiful in itself with gorgeous red rocks, a handful of hikes inside the campground area, recently redone bathrooms with the rain shower faucets that were absolutely heavenly, they also had full hookups for those so inclined. Besides being close to Bryce canyon, we also were fairly close to Grand Staircase Escalate National Monument where we did the Zebra slot canyon hike, we also drove to Grosvenor Arch, but that road was very much rough and rugged.

I’m sure the campgrounds you mentioned are awesome, I just wanted to throw one more into the mix.

Thank you for your good quality and informational videos.

  25. nancy phillips on January 22, 2022 at 4:24 pm

Surprise! That was our 1965 Airstream Tradewind and Tacoma at Devil’s Garden in Arches NP. Great spot! Typically windy, so you can’t put out an awning. Hiking from that spot and fun to watch other folks boulder on the rocks.

If I want to go to all 5 national parks, boon-docking 90% of the time, how long is enough time to see most everything? Two weeks? A month? Longer? Starting in July I’m headed to Yellowstone, Glacier, Banff (if I can get a passport in time) Cascades, Yosemite just to name a few ending up in UTAH in September! My way of celebrating my battle with Pancreatic Cancer! πŸ™‚

  27. G Forcke on January 22, 2022 at 4:25 pm

Capital Reef was my fav😍 It was so diverse in terrain & not as hectic and crowded ❀️

I’ve lived in NM for most of my life, yet never been to any of these awesome places. FOR SHAME!!! Hoping to put together a big vacation loop trip and drag the popup all over the place out there. What an amazing place UTAH is!

  36. Thom Fisher on January 22, 2022 at 4:38 pm

Not that I dislike your videos, but you need more images and less face time on screen. The idea is show the sites, not you.. Use more voice overs.

  37. Carl Davis on January 22, 2022 at 4:38 pm

Thanks for another great video. I’m on the east coast and will be retiring end of this year. Looking forward to heading west and discovering Utah.
