For bugs I’ve found that insects don’t like skin after you have spicy food. Odourless garlic capsules work too (odourless to you but not them) making your sweat taste unfavourable.
Another awesome video! Thanks for the sponge & electric fly swatter idea. My dogs get freaked out when I use an old skool fly swatter so this will also be helpful in my home & when I start camper vanning all over Europe 🙂

I know this is quite a while after video posted but I think using small face clothes can work instead of baby wipes let dry and throw in hamper 😊

Heard if you turn all lights out except one light on fan only turn fan on high (screen out) it will draw bugs to light and suck them out. Van guy says it works

Do you have a toilet?
Baby wipes are not very environmentally friendly. Try a flannel/ washcloth and a bit of water instead (works even better than baby wipes). You can get the ones that dry quickly just like your towels.

Hack#2.. I hate the feel of microfiber towels so I use Hammam towels. I bought them on eBay (where else!) They are a thin cotton but they do everything you need a towel to do. Hang them in the breeze and they’re dry quickly, or leave them in the cab if it’s warm and they’ll dry off. I use everyone else’s sports towels for my dog Lilly! She doesn’t mind them! 💗

thank you for the recommendations! My GF and I are looking to buildout a van this winter/spring and I am so so so grateful for your videos.
Something that I recommend is a car wheel lock. You just put it through your steering wheel and lock it and any robbers won’t want to break into your van to steal the van.
I bought beach towels at Walmart, cut them in half crosswise and hemmed the edges. Perfect size, dries quickly and doesn’t take a lot of space.

Another life or vanhack for hygiene; body anti-perspirant sprays. Use them on feet for fresh smelling, dry feet, a little onyour body for cleaner smelling shirts and of course bodies, and use them in more personal body regions for obvious freshness. Works so well Iactually backpack with a mini spray bottle. That and a portable bidet.
