The very middle of Florida (around Sebring Florida) for some reason is cool at night even in July and August. Trying to hang out inside a van in Florida from 11am to 4pm is generally a bad idea unless the AC is running.

  7. サナイSunni on November 20, 2021 at 11:35 am

Did u open your windows during the night after blasting the AC for that long?

  8. Eli Prescott on November 20, 2021 at 11:36 am

I surf Melbourne all the time, but yeah Florida is just hot and wet all summer long.

  9. Divine Mojo on November 20, 2021 at 11:40 am

I live in Indian Harbour Beach so I recognize where you were. Beautiful 😁🙏🏼💜 I am going to be living out of my car next month. I would really appreciate if you could give me some tips on the stealth camping in this area. Thank you for any help you can give me.

  10. Cal Cal on November 20, 2021 at 11:41 am

This thing about van life is you don’t have to go where the climate sucks. Solution? Just don’t go there.

  11. Alice Knight-Hawk McGee on November 20, 2021 at 11:42 am

Did u run the van’s ac, like left it running all night?

  12. Florida Man on November 20, 2021 at 11:43 am

More solar and you can run a rooftop ac. Mine runs indefinitely while the sun’s out. I live about 15 minutes from the Squid Lips on the Eau Gallie causeway. Always loved that place when the bands are playing.

Great video. I live near Melbourne. Where were you with the wooden walkway pier area that you saw the dolphins? That area didn’t look very crowded. That is what I am looking for.

  15. Joe's Junk on November 20, 2021 at 11:50 am

Cool? The shore of lake superior is almost uncomfortably chilly at night even in July!

July 23, 2020 Since you love the ocean, you might consider living on an island or near a light house (many jobs for people who can endure major isolation, few want those jobs). For example, there was a job opening about ten years ago for a tiny island near the city of San Francisco, to run a ‘bead and breakfast.’ It was probably located on the Contra Costa County city of Richmond (a mixture of heaven and hell chemical companies, etc., mixed with pristine nature). It might be described on the (online) magazine ‘MarketPlace’ for Contra Costa County (a mass mailer, free). There was a major oil spill about 2007 caused by two ships hitting each other, or hitting a bridge! This might have been prevented by someone like you to alert the ship crew in the fog, and using computer language translation for oil, etc., ships coming in every day from all over the world to pollute the ocean water, filled with whales and dolphins…Please find out about the COVID19 Pandemic Virus ‘killer!’ invented by a scientist (UK accent) at Virginia Tech, one minute interview on Saturday, July 18, 2020 on news radio station KCBSAM740 in San Francisco, California. All the other media have ignored this man and his ‘recycled copper’ invention mixed with common wood varnish, which might save millions of lives all over the world! Maybe it is those profiting from Big Pharma, which want to make millions vaccinating about 7.5 million people every year, forever. This paint could be used in every Van Life build! G’Day

Traveling through a state with the highest Covid infection rate in the nation; now complaining about the heat in Florida in July……duh. I used to greatly enjoy your videos but your sense of entitlement has soured your channel for me. I wish you well but you’ve lost me as a subscriber.

Hi Great Video. I usually go to the local library when traveling. Its air conditioned, quiet, plenty of work desks with power outlets, and never as busy as coffee shops. Some are open again now.

I drive a semi truck and we have APUs "alternate power unite" which is basically a generator. These power our heat electric and air conditioning. There’s nothing in my truck I cant run with the APU running. Can anybody tell me why these Van’s don’t use them ?

  45. joapps on November 20, 2021 at 12:22 pm

I heard it is vital to air out good after sleeping in the car with windows rolled up…esp. the moisture under the panels, behind walls, etc. can lead to that mildew / gross taxi cab smell :p safe travels!

  49. Royalty By Design on November 20, 2021 at 12:26 pm

You can park overnight of any of the Planet Fitnesses in that area without being bugged, my husband and I stayed in the parking lot at Palm Bay, Melbourne and St Lucie without being harassed by the police we saw the police but they were friendly and never asked us to move and we were even doing some work on the van in one of the parking lots without any problems.
