Fellow engineer here, can you give any tips or guidance on running the chimney through the roof of the van?

  11. Robert Shaffer on July 22, 2023 at 3:17 pm

Wowzer, another hipster couple living in a van. How original, one of only about a million out here on the Tube. Cute woman, scroungy looking guy with a beard. I’ll go out on a limb here and take a wild guess that you’re vegans. And hey, who needs a bathroom when you can just leach on other people’s that they then have to clean up. Great.

  12. davep6977 on July 22, 2023 at 3:18 pm

1st I noticed for an engineer was the sag in the shelves

  13. Free Juggling on July 22, 2023 at 3:24 pm

    Nice tour

  15. Lady-T Survival on July 22, 2023 at 3:25 pm

i may be wrong, but aren’t you supposed to vent the gasses from the batteries away from your living space? arent they supposed to be toxic? venting it inside the van seems like it wouldn’t be good for air quality inside.

  16. anna christine on July 22, 2023 at 3:26 pm

I LOVE the Cub and Grizzly. So practical and also lovely ambiance. One guy uses wood scraps like from construction and fake store bought logs because they are easier to break into the right size and they burn longer at night than cut up logs. Buying a cord of wood and cutting it into size can be time and space consuming and you can’t use pellets for some reason. Have you thought of what you’re going to use ?

  17. Richard Mond on July 22, 2023 at 3:29 pm

What is with giving an inanimate object a name??

  18. Barbara Mowrey on July 22, 2023 at 3:29 pm

Lithium deep cycle batteries will allow you to use 100% of the battery with no acid so you’re really getting more battery for the money. And they last according to everyone who has them. You could get by with two batteries instead of 4 and get more out of them.

  19. Mae Richard on July 22, 2023 at 3:29 pm

I named my red jeep Clifford as well!

  20. Andreas Duess on July 22, 2023 at 3:32 pm

Nice. We’ve for the same stove in our Airstream. Wood heat is the way to go, sustainable and doesn’t need power to run.

  21. Jennifer Hill on July 22, 2023 at 3:32 pm

Omg he has the same voice as another van lifer. Gotta look it up

  22. Scout on July 22, 2023 at 3:32 pm

    That’s a really cool bed.

  23. Liberty Lost on July 22, 2023 at 3:33 pm

It looks like you might have to reenforce the cabinets on the left side. It looks to heavy and the bottom is coming off and it looks like the the top is coming away from the ceiling. Also that might be why it looks like the door on the right side top, looks uneven. I hope it holds together for you.

  24. Yobobo W on July 22, 2023 at 3:35 pm

  36. Mike Rafferty on July 22, 2023 at 3:46 pm

How is the microwave working on the battery bank? Any issues? It’s pretty unusual for boondockers to have a microwave running off batteries. Most use a generator for that purpose.

  37. Get Fit With Neha on July 22, 2023 at 3:47 pm

    amazing van build

  43. barbjoz63 on July 22, 2023 at 3:55 pm

Great build! How tall is Matt? I was considering getting a Sprinter but my husband it’s 6’4" and am curious if the height is comfortable for Matt.

  44. mirageseekr on July 22, 2023 at 3:55 pm

I thought your dog was a fuzzy blanket that fell on the floor at first as he was so still. I would have to hug that dog all day long. Nice build, very organized. Just what you expect from engineers (dad is one). Love Clifford the big red van. Only criticism and its personal prefference is WHOA on that color scheme!! baby blue with red backsplash? Maybe concede that you both are the super smart but maybe not the most artistic if you go to redecorate or sell maybe recruit a friend to help in the asthetics.

  45. Growing Wild Heather on July 22, 2023 at 3:55 pm

Clifford looks pretty snazzy inside and out! When you see Charlie there may be some things that look familiar!

  46. Greg Ward on July 22, 2023 at 3:56 pm

stopped watching the video when you said you vented and are pumping the off-gasses from the batteries INTO the van and not outside. Fucking Engineers my ass. Would not hire you to build a bird feeder.

  47. Виктор Русакович on July 22, 2023 at 3:56 pm

    Shower?

  48. Rita Lee on July 22, 2023 at 3:57 pm
