This is so smart compared to a mattress, all of the extra space

If you get uncomfortable sleeping in the ENO. Try a 10′ hammock. ENOs are about 9.5′ long. At 5’6" I find a 10 footer perfect. But I see you are stretched for space so an Eno might be your only option. Either way You rock bro.

Just curious- where were you parked when you shot the video? My guess is somewhere on NorCal NF land.

Very Smart! I wouldn’t think it would have fit.
I live in my hammock. It is my “go to” nap spot. At home or in the woods!

Nice setup Mr. Hikes. I’ll be up at either the Timothy Lake Marathon or the Wy’East Wonder 2 wknds. from now. How bout’you?

a carabiner is not meant to be used the way you do. They’ll snap in two.

Cool that’s the same hammock I have. I don’t have the room in my express but good idea.

You really should check out polycro hammocks by lighterthanyourballs™ pretty much the only hammock worth investing in for ESSUL hiking

Which transit model? And do you find you get a good hang with your WBBB? If I did this…it would be full time hammocking…

So you’ve had the Promaster & the Transit! Which on do you prefer & why? I’m tossing & turning over the PM 159 Tall or the Tall Transit!! Any suggestions?

Do you use a bottom quilt to avoid CBS (Cold Butt Syndrome)?

I sleep in a hammock all the time. Been doing it for years. When it is warmer out I sleep in my mini van because it is quieter, my wife a daughter are night owls and noisy. It is a nice way to start the day waking up to the birds singing and looking out at the woods as the sun slowly brightens up the new day.

I am a 65 year old woman with osteoporosis and I’ve been sleeping in a hammock in my house for 2-1/2 years now, very comfortably. The first couple nights I was so COLD I couldn’t sleep, but after I figured out an underquilt (I got a 2nd hammock & slung it under the first, with fleece and quilt blankets between them) I sleep like a log. I love my hammock!

I feel like an idiot asking but can you clarify how you drilled the caribinet into the frame of the transport? Any ideas how to hang multiple hammocks?

  21. Bernie Keene on January 13, 2021 at 2:24 am

Very nice setup. So looks like you would recommend a double size hammock even for one person? Or would you recommend a single for one person? Thx!!!

Good idea man! You look in good shape – how do you stay joocey while hiking? Careful with your diet and body weight exercise?

My eyes have been opened…..seriously considering this now when I start van life in a month or so……

I know this might be a childish question but I’m a young man so it needs to be asked (sorry), what happens when you get lucky and a chick comes back to your van to have some fun?
