My son is in the process of setting up his office with 2 partners. Just this morning he asked me for some vastu tips. These were some of my suggestions:
1. Main door – If you are inside the room & are
stepping out of the flat, you should be facing the north, east or west direction.
2. A small laughing Buddha/Ganeshji/Sai Baba facing the main door brings prosperity & happiness.
3. A mirror should not face the main door or the window because positive energy that is coming in is reflected back outside. It should not reflect the washroom door, trash, bed or gas burner.
4. A mirror or any reflective surface facing the work table, equipment (nothing sharp), dining table, fridge gives positive vibes because it multiplies the image that is reflected.
5. A cupboard is best placed in an east-west direction.
6. Work tables : When seated at the table, you should be facing the north, east or west direction. East-west is best. Don’t create any barriers between the tables, but keep space.
7. Water: water bottles, a pic of the sea/lake/dolphins/waterfall, anything to do with water should be placed in the north direction.
8. A pic of the 3 of you working together in a comfortable, happy mood or a mirror which reflects your’ll doing this, will enhance your bonding.
9. A photo frame of galloping horses etc. In the workspace increases business. By contrast, pics/paintings of animals or people lazing will send out the same lazy vibes.
10. Alternatively, a small pic or sketch of a person from the art field whose work all 3 of you admire, an idol of sorts, will give good vibes. Like a singer placing a sketch of Kishore Kumar or a pic of he and Pancham creating music 🎶 together.
11. A small bamboo plant on the window sill is considered fortunate. Same with a money plant. Let the breeze flow inside through the bamboo stems. Never keep a bonsai plant, a cactus or any plant with thorns. They stunt growth, create friction.
12. Make adequate storage space. There should be no clutter. A cluttered space not only looks bad, it creates clutter & confusion in the mind.
13. A photo/painting frame with a half inch border of a bar of mirror just inside the frame, can serve the purpose.
14. Any utility item like a pen stand, should preferably be shaped like something related to your trade. Like the camera key chain Nishant gave you or a guitar shaped one that a singer might keep.
15. Keep a small glass bowl or tiny bottle of clear glass filled with salt in the washroom, along with a room freshner. It will absorb negative energy. Flush down the salt every 15 days, wash the bowl/bottle, wipe & refill.

The 3 partners have some skills common to all 3 and some unique personal talents. They will work on both – individual projects & in collaboration on some projects. They are in the creative field.
