Victorian Era Couple Live Like It's The 19th Century | Extraordinary People | New York Post
On this episode of Extraordinary People, a quirky couple is obsessed with the Victorian era. Sarah and Gabriel Chrisman wear 1880s-inspired clothing, cook with a wood stove and live their everyday lives, in Port Townsend, Washington, as if it’s the 19th century. “I found a way to do a little bit of the time travel,” said Sarah, a writer. She and her librarian husband — who rides a penny-farthing bicycle around town — hope to inspire others to pursue their dreams, whatever they may be.

So you only bathe like, once a month…
That would be awesome! But like for an hour…
I wonder if they go to the ER do they want "Period" Health Care ?
she’s definitely a coke addict
They can’t stay like that forever what about phones and tvs and things we do in 2022 I mean they should learn what iPhones are and also to use a car
Seems cute I guess. 🤷🏾♀️
Why is her nose so red?
Why is her nose red
I thought she had a red clown nose on hahahahha
So… do they order their Victorian style items from Amazon or?😂
Im just curious how far they go with it. Do they visit any modernized indoor places? Use debit cards? Where do they shop? Do they buy any take out? Do they make every meal from scratch? Use any plastic? As a librarian does he not use computers?
whats with the redness? make up?
Characterized by optimism IM CRYING 😂😂😂😂 yeah TUBERCULOSIS fun stuff – this couple should get TB and deny modern medicine. Lots to be happy for.
Why does she look like she just drank a fifth of whiskey?
They’re racist too?
Adorable
Very cool, it’s nice to see that we have people who still care for and (in a sense) preserve what once has been. Other than books and the teachings in school there isn’t much to connect us to that time. I love seeing these things because although it may seem silly, it’s a window into something we’d never be able to witness in this modern world.
Victorians were extreme racists I wonder if they embody that as well.
Just had to be American🙈
Neat!
My mother still has her oil lamps from when she was a child I smiled when you lit yours
why’s her nose so red
I wonder if they dropped the Victorian thing when the pandemic hit lol modern medicine is nice
That’s called LSD 😅
These two basically decided to play house into adulthood. Well if they got the money to play and keep playing, who am I.
You know what people in the 19th century weren’t doing? Pretending to be people from 100 years before that.
Gross
Gosh. Certainly if these two found each other…someone is out there for me.
This is what I wanna do, but my wifi would never go for it lol
Their neighbours be like 👁👄👁
Would “Living in the past” by Jethro Tull be apreciated?
What a waste of life these people are…
I love the Victorian era and would love to live during that time, the architecture and everything. But no way I would live in 2022 but live like 1700
I get how this may be fun and how people may get into this lifestyle, but girl, go ahead and splurge on a 21st century comfort and take a Zyrtec. Looks like she’s using parchment for tissue.
They break out the toothpaste and deodorant before guests arrive.
but no video games?
Who lives in the past have no future
End quotes
they make our world better!
I am so happy for them and the love they share ❤ amazing.
One problem is that they don’t have a British accent.

I would like her to explain how cooking with wood stove is easier than electric stove. 👀 🙂
