Vlog #90 Car Camping: Through the Southwest
Vlog #90 Car Camping: Through the Southwest
After giving up on California due to the fires, I headed through Utah, Arizona and New Mexico. Met a lot of great friends along the way… both new and old. Georgia continues growling at wildlife and so far the journey is exceeding all expectations.
As always… if there is any gear you are interested in, I have it all listed on my Amazon Shop Page: http://amazon.com/shop/tokyocooney
Find me on insta: http://instagram.com/tokyocooney
I saw your fb travel photos. Any plans to upload vids here?
Oh man, seeing roach coach tacos makes me miss San Diego so much!! It’s been 8 years since I was last there.
i remember watching your japan travel videos a really long time ago, love that you are making new videos. the old intro was a great reminder of the past
Hey Kevin! Loving the new vlogs! I’ve been a long time fan and follower! Do you use your phone to film and if so, which model? Looking forward to future videos!
That scene when you’re fishing by the pond reminds me of that one time you went fishing in Tokyo. I can’t for the life of me remember the name of the video but it was a good one.
Mr. Conney, sir, you’re looking really good 👌
Waiting for more vids tho
Just noticed that you had been posting again and binged all your new videos in one go. I don’t know what that says about me, but I think it’s proof your videos are as good as ever. Hopefully this series makes it past the world’s largest pistachio. Loving the content.
Keviiiin!!!! Love your videos from way back when! Wanted to move to Japan because of you! Nice to see you sharing fun times with us again! Sending good vibes to you!
I keep remembering after the fact =(
Right now is just about the best time in the year to go across desert country. Not too hot and not too cold. Vegetation is there too. I would not recommend you go back during summer.
YES! Tacos in Arizona are the BEST! At least asada tacos.
Please keep feeding us with videos. I was already starving for this vid. lol
I need one of these trips in my life!!
wow, can yo believe we’ve been waiting …and waiting…………and waiting…………. and waiting………..and almost 10 years have gone by.
glad to get back to my Youtube roots; seeing the world with tokyocooney!
Apologies for falling off the face of the earth after we last spoke. Had to pick up the pieces and bang out some life goals. I’m back, and still sending new viewers (they all love you instantly btw).
I encourage you to make a 3 minute video, a recipe, a comedic observation, just about anything. Wing it and see what develops. It will keep you fluid, and bring more viewers.
How’ve you been in recent weeks?
Much Luv, ~R~
Kevin – Are we ever going to get the real story why you left Japan. Must you block out the humiliation for a lifetime. I thought that was suppose to be transformed on the comedic stage for content. Please share with us your bruised bussom and cast light on such a ironic era in your life’s journey – as your tossed through almost cliche conquests and futile attempts to mold a once novel idea and turn it into staggering trails and winding roads that the creator of Ren & Stimpy himself, couldn’t narrate so eloquently…….and yes, I did indeed write this while eating a pear in a black turtle neck as low levels of light warm the tone of my skin…. and my curly mustache glisten from the oil of avocados grown from within the limits of Lake Titicaca
Nice video, love the transitions, wish I had that skill.
Hey Kevin, just out of curiosity, do you carry any sort of protective tools like bear spray or mace out on the road?
Thanks for all the tokyo vids back in the day. Was Asia getting too crazy with lockdowns your reason for leaving?
It’s been so good to see Tokyo Cooney vids after all these years. Loved the Japan vids but it’s funny going back and seeing the xacti video quality now haha and that was my first video camera I bought in Akihabara because of you. But anyway have wanted to comment since I rediscovered you a few months back but it coincided with my comments mysteriously being autodeleted, possibly because of my pointing out of c19 health advice inconsistencies from the MSM 😉 worked out recently that comments through phone work. Loving the vids m8, they’re even better than the J vids, next level m8. Keep em coming and sorry for the wall of text, sux typing on the ph…cheers, Mick
No videos for month now so where will tokyocooney be in his next video?
9 years later he was suddently in USA so maybe in another 9 years he will post videos from Europe
Anything is possiblöe with this man
Hope all is well, haven’t seen you post recently.🙏🏼
I’ve been a fan since 2005 but last I saw of you was 2012. I pulled up your channel to show a friend one of your videos and saw you’re back! …ish? I’ll get on other platforms to stay up to date from now on. I regret having missed so many of your videos but I’m so glad they’re here for me to catch up on. I hope you keep posting all your experiences here when you can. They’re always a fantastic watch. 🙂
I’m shocked.
Cooney is back?!
Shit Im in AZ, would’ve been crazy to run into you haha. Glad you’re safe and doing well mang.
Hell yea
Your hat looks like a crispy nacho.
Hello, Kevin! I was watching a video by Ross Scott about Gothos – a graphic adventure game from the 90s and I saw a guy there that looked like you. That game had a bunch of cutscenes with different actors and had a LARPy feel to it. Was that you in that game? Please check it out, it is after 18:30 of that video.
Hey Kevin, hope you’re doing well.
Cloud croft and Ruidoso are nice
Aye my bro… I just want to say I still love ya videos and today I hit 15,000 subscribers and I owe it all to you my man because like I always say you got me into vlogging long time ago with your Japan vlogs! Thanks my man
Hi Kevin🙋🏾♀️! Thanks again for showing us around Japan back in the day. I like watching your cross country trips. My brother loves to go on camping adventures, and I love to cook. So I bring my Stansport Dutch oven (just like my grandmother had), and Reynolds non-stick foil. They are my FAVORITE camping tools. I even baked bread in it. What! Yes, bread. I was sooo excited when I saw the beautiful loaf, especially after the first loaf came out like a giant hockey puck😂. If at first you don’t succeed…try it only one more time 😄.
Fantastic! epic road trip.
Don’t know if you’re headed to San Diego but after all the years of entertainment you’ve given me I feel a beer and a fish taco would be the least I could do for you.
(yeah, I’m fully aware of "invitations from random YouTube commenter" so I’m not holding my breath)
But seriously, Ocean Beach is pretty cool, great food and a few blocks away where the San Diego river empties into the pacific is a pretty cool dog beach that Georgia might love! (pretty sure we’ve seen her get along with other dogs)(The rescue dog?)
Anywho, love the vids as always! Enjoy the sights!
Does anyone remember the channel icon for this channel before the update?
I hope you’re doing great sir. I decided to stop by for nostalgia and I’m happy to see you have new content, at least new to me. Inused tonwatch your Japanese videos when I was in high school. I hope you’re living a beautiful life my friend.
Found out because of Japan, wish to visit USA.Greetings from Norway,Lithuania,Thailand and Japan
Hey dude.. Great Video! Great to see what adventures you two are up to! Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
Kevin, I used to watch your videos back in the day. It’s been so long! Since then I moved to China, then Brazil, then finally immigrated to Canada. It’s good to have you back, man. It’s good to have you back =)
Great vid Kevin, looking forward to your journeys. Curious to see if you make to Big Bend. Sounds like you really dug the southwest, check out a doc called "American Nomads" produced by the BBC and staring Richard Grant who is an epic travel writer who wrote a book by the same title. He explores he underbelly of the southwest as well as it’s quirks and charms. Godspeed!
Haha dude so cool you put your old intro song!! Good times 🙂
Been a subscriber since 2009 I never thought you would make it out to Utah. My home state. Best Friends is my favorite place.
Was this the end?
