The only accurate scene in this movie was when Percy woke up in Camp Half-Blood, looked at Annabeth and said “You beautiful”. Annabeth responds with “You drool when you sleep”. But that scene didn’t end up making it into the movie.
This is the main reason why you should read books, instead of watching movie adaptations.

The most unrealistic parts were the blackwashing of Persephone ( but hey, we live in the blm sjw cringe era..no surprise with some blackwashing, right?..just make sure you don’t do any whitewashing, or everyone starts bitching about it, see Gods of Egypt) and the fact that Zeus had no sons there, since as per greek mythology he’s screwing mortal women every day of the week.

Say what you want about these movies, I still really enjoy the first movie. I’ve read the books probably 5-6 times, but I still think the first movie is a good watch, despite the fact they didn’t follow hardly any part of the book, aside from the overarching storyline of the lightning bolt being stolen.
WTF they changed the f*** scene to make Percy seem stronger but when in real Annabeth beat him in the one on one fight and it showed how strong of a fighter she was since her mother is literally the God of battle strategies and here she looks like a complete wimp. Worst part is that PERCY SO CALLED POWERS DOES NOT MAKE HIM SUDDENLY A GOOD FIGHTER WHEN HE TOUCHES WATER! He can heal himself and control it but not flipping become a master at sword fight willy nilly UHG!
I know a lot of people hate the movies, but they were reasonably entertaining.

As a standalone movie, this movie really is well made. Its annoying to see people hate the movie when its not even that bad of a movie. Hate the director for being disloyal to the books. XD

Well.well.well. Even after two years this makes my blood boil. Does anyone have any idea how embarrassing it is when everyone else talks about their favourite books’ awesome movie adaptations and you cannot say that? For Zeus’ sake. Get it correct, or don’t get it at all. There is absolutely no point in making the fandom so mad, that we decide to have a war against you. Greater than the two wars in the actual books. Oh, wait, you will mess that up too.
