What You Need for a Classic '90s Bedroom

What You Need for a Classic '90s Bedroom

If you were growing up in the ‘90s, stop for a moment to picture your bedroom. Do you see an inflatable chair? A Delia’s catalog on the end of the bed? Walls covered with posters of ’N Sync from J-14 magazine? We knew it. We’re reminiscing about decor, fashion and boy crushes with an architectural expert from MoMA, the cool Delia’s stylist we wish we knew when we were 12 and the editor from J-14 magazine who made sure our poster boys always looked their best.

Not from usa but we have those kind of magazines… I cut pictures of those celeb to put in my diary. Cringe. I cringe at myself.

Dose any one have inflatable chairs 💺

  3. TamariMcKay on December 19, 2020 at 11:43 pm

I got that blue inflatable chair for my 12th birthday in 1999 along with a pair of platform sneakers, so I can confirm this is historically accurate. My teeny mag posters were mostly WB actors rather than boy bands, but that was just personal preference.

Next will be: you bed room in 1907

  5. Gonzalo Duarte on December 19, 2020 at 11:44 pm

My sister’s room for me is the definition of 90s:
The ceiling covered in glow in the dark stars, a crt tv with stickers in the borders over a clear green plastic vhs player, a desktop with a lot of CDs and tapes ranging from the backstreet boys to nirvana. By the side of the bed a clear plastic phone line and the bed itself with a few giant animal plushies. Everything covered in a soft sweet artificial fruit scent, like bubblegum mixed with the scent of the bed cover being hit by the summer sun.

As 90s teen, this totally brought back memories of *Nsync posters all over my wall and trying to sell enough magazines to get my inflatable chair. 🤣

  22. queenofdramatech on December 20, 2020 at 12:03 am

Omg, I remember the inflatable furniture because when my grandparents were putting together a basement bedroom so my aunt could stay at the house and sleep I insisted they get a blue blow up chair to save money.

Remember what a teen girl’s room looked like in the 90s?
Me, a teen boy throughout the 90s: No. But if you need a set designer for libraries and basements hmu.

You’re going to forget about the clear corded phones in our bedroom as if the trauma of three way calls to our crushes isn’t the stem of our therapy today?

  45. Jarvis Morris on December 20, 2020 at 12:36 am

Fun Fact: The original Space Jam website is still up.

Can’t get much more 90s than that

  46. Samuel Measa on December 20, 2020 at 12:38 am

Yeah I remember my sisters having blow up furniture and ball chain jewelry that in a snap could double as a whip. That whip bit was why they got banned at my high school.

  47. promontorium on December 20, 2020 at 12:39 am

The secret to girl’s fashion in the 90s was whatever guys wore in the 1970s. Completely asexual and no skin showing except for short sleeves and the neck up. Sometime in the 2000s girls started dressing like females again. And then by the 2010s they all dressed like strippers. Went to college about that time when yoga pants were considered clothing. Fascinating times.

  48. Erika D on December 20, 2020 at 12:40 am
