Just finished ours and it came out amazing!!! Only advice I can give before you start is to use 2 1/2β screws instead of the 2β ones, not much to grab onto
these sell on wayfair for $400 XD
Beautiful ladder but hate the color. ππ
I’m so glad I found this channel π± these are amazing DIYs
Woodglut is a good solution for every woodworker.
I have no creative bones in my body and I love your videos I love that I can do something so simple and I don’t have to ask my husband I don’t have to be a carpenter. Keep doing these types of videos they’re wonderful, but then again everything you do is wonderful.
Love this!
I hope my ladder looks good. I applied the waverly wax with a sponge. I donβt see any excess wax. π¬
Hi, I appreciate the idea but your wood screw sizes are wrong. You’ll need 2 1/2 inch wood screws. The 2 inch screws you recommended aren’t long enough to make a secure hold — remember you are using 2×2 furring strips.
Ty! I just watched another tutorial and it was way too much work. This is so easy. I recently bought a black wood one from a lady on fb marketplace. Iβve been wanting another one so now I can make one. π
Do u have plants? I want to hang a ladder to hand my plants on it but cannot find one for less than $200. Is there something to use to make the rungs out of the round wood?
Got my materials and canβt wait to start!!
OK. My vision is admittedly not what it used to be. So, I thought that exclamation mark in the thumbnail was a 1 and almost slipped the video. What good is a $100 blanket ladder for under $91? π
Those are screws, not nails, and the level in this situation doesnβt help you. You would want to use a carpenterβs square to make sure the rungs are perpendicular to the rails.
I love thisπ
Wasnt expecting the wood quality bit! Thank you for that!
LOVE THIS π π» SO MAKING IT ASAP
Youβre my hero!!
Thank you!
Hello, I’m trying to find your video I’ve watched before, but can’t seem to find it. It’s the diy ladder that goes on the counter and holds coffee stuff could you direct me wanting to show my boyfriend so we could make some as christmas gifts for people thank you love your videosππππ
Help me understand are they blankets for decor only? Or are people actually using them!
I have some old vintage quilts I could put on there.
Man! What an awesome idea! Thxs
Making this today
New subscriber here. Great diy. I have wanted one of these ladders for so long, but cannot justify the prices for them.. TYFS and the inspiration. (Pauline S)
Can I make it taller than 5ft?
I appreciate how you always have your children with you and how you can still do so much while keeping them busy, playing with them, teaching them, checking on them, and including them in anything that you are doing! It shows the Real side to being a stay at home mom and the reality of how kids should be involved in helping out. So many you tubers moms have a whole video on cleaning, cooking, decorating, getting ready and working out while their kids where never even around! There is No way that a pregnant mother with 3 kids under 3 or 4 could get all that done and not have them hanging on her or wanting to be involved!! My 3kids all want to feel involved and always love helping me decorate or just do household duties! Especially when I was pregnant!! Lol!!! You show us how to trully do everything and still be a MOMMY to them!! My babies come first, always π π β€ π π π
I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!!!!! I can not get over the great ideas. Keep it up!
Did you use a pre stain conditioner before staining the wood? I made my ladder and LOVE IT. Super easy first time wood project. But… Iβm so nervous Iβm going to totally ruin it by trying to stain the wood.
On yours (the grey one) did you finish it with polyurethane too?
I love this video, but with inflation today this would be a lot more than $9 to make.
I added up the items on Home Depotβs website.
Wood: $7.10
Nails (if you donβt have a drill – I donβt): $4.50
Wood glue: $3.47
Stain: $8.98
Small brush for staining: $1.57
Clear coat/shellac spray (if you donβt want the stain to get all over your blankets): $11.38
Total: $37
I am not counting a hammer because many people already have that, but that would be about $10-20 more.
You will also need either a tarp, or some cardboard/plastic as a work surface.
You may also need some felt to put on the end to keep it from scratching up your wall.
Just wanted to let people know, because if you can find a ladder for under $40 youβd be better off buying one!
How many inches was between your steps
Absolutely love this ladder. Thank you for sharing, I subscribed to your channel β€β€β€
Wow, great tutorial on making a blanket ladder π
Such a wonderful idea and you made it so easy to do.
FYI: Home depot doesn’t charge to cut wood !β€
$10!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Did you steal the stain, paint, paint brushes, sand paper?????????
ππΎππΎππΎππΎππΎππΎyesss Im going to make this
Woodglut plans are amazing!
Canβt believe people sell something so simple and cheap to make for $100+ dollars π π this looks amazing canβt wait to build mine!
Getting the stuff to make this now in 2021 the wood is almost 5$ each piece crazy how it changed lol
I love how you explained every step , I’m a visual learner πβ€β€β€
Would the ladder hold up the same if you were to use wood glue instead of screw?
Both Fantastic !!
Do you angle the bottom ends?
Fun tutorial, but those are screws – not nails. Just sayin’. I agree with Home Depot vs. Lowes for quality, but the biggest seller for me is Home Depot’s customer service. They are much more attentive.
This is so cute I love it
really loved this i always goes to lowes all times to get wood to do crafting and stuff. sometimes i do need to cut little bit more at home afteri get it cut over lowes but i just made mine couple of days ago but i got into like a farmhouse shelf with faith family friends sign its cute really didnt come out too even though but its looks like a regular ladder first time making go figure
Do you think this would be sturdy enough to be a hanging drying rack for the laundry room?
Perfect….I have been looking for one of these ladders up here in the Mountains and can’t find any…This ladder is great…thank you !!
These measurements don’t make sense.
