Thank you – I needed to make an easy cat ladder for my back yard, and this did the trick. I just turned the steps so they are flat, and this was perfect! One trip to the hardware store + one evening. Mahalo for the clear, concise instructions.

Do you mean 1×4 (nominal), which is 1×3 1/2 (actual)? I haven’t seen 1x3s before.

Thank you for the plan. That is very kind of you.

1 thing I noticed that in your video instructions was that you didn’t sand the boards before assembly. If I am going to put blankets on the runs I hope they wouldn’t get snagged threads

I love this build! I did one for my house & my mom asked for one as a christmas present! Win-Win!

My son, Matthew is a mechanical engineering major and is finding his love for wood working. I had seen your video for this blanket ladder and I fell in love with it. I asked Matthew for a blanket ladder from him for Christmas. The only thing I asked was that he follow your video. He said your instructions were so easy to follow. He not only made me one but he made his sister, sister in law, his fiancé and her mother one for Christmas. He did an amazing job and they were all blown away by his craftsmanship. Thank you. I would love to send you a picture of the finished product. Thank you again!❤️ 🪜

Beautiful work! Thank you for the video and inspiration!

  29. Joshua Waddell on January 3, 2022 at 2:04 pm

Very nice! I like the look of a 1×3 compared to the other styles personally.
When you applied the stain, did you let it dry for a certain length of time before you put blankets on it? My concern would be stain bleeding into a blanket if put on too quickly.

    Thanks!

  30. Ashley L on January 3, 2022 at 2:04 pm

Why did it cost me 60?! My 8ft wood cost 10.84 a peice…..I was so sad and poor afterwards.
    But it is cute 😍

  31. Marisa Crespin on January 3, 2022 at 2:05 pm

I’m going to do it! 😆

  34. Trinh Ghering on January 3, 2022 at 2:07 pm

This was my first project. It looks so good, thank you for the plan. I can’t figured out why the ladder is so lopsided. Any suggestions how to make it straight? I’ve tried clamping, alternation putting in the screws ..

    You are very talented❤️❤️

  43. The Monte Phone on January 3, 2022 at 2:20 pm

T y for instructions. It’s so simple. When I closely examined a rung at an antique store…it appeared complicated. I hope my attempt will not injure anyone. Lol
