  3. Spartan Chi Rho on June 30, 2021 at 2:18 am

I’m probably the only one…but I think a bronzed camode would look good. I know im crazy…but one that matched faucet shower spichet. Ive probably had too much wine…either way, excellent job!

I love the floor tiles and the vanity. The entire bathroom looks great and you did a wonderful job!

  8. Jillian Golich on June 30, 2021 at 2:24 am

How did you fit your floor tiles around your toilet? Or did you remove the toilet in order to fit them up underneath? I’m seeing different approaches to this- have been watching several bathroom budget remodels. Not sure what would be best.

This turned out so awesome! She was still cute before tho 😜 I have a bathroom kind of like this (1954) in a house bf and I just bought. I have the same built in towel rod, did you just paint over the whole thing or did you have to take the towel bar out of the tile part? Thanks for the great ideas and inspo!! Ps that caulk job was cleannn

  17. Dee on June 30, 2021 at 2:30 am

Amazing job! I too have one of those 60s colorful tubs and would love to redo it in white. How is the paint on the tub holding up?

  18. Bradley Steele on June 30, 2021 at 2:31 am

  22. Madonna Hagedorn on June 30, 2021 at 2:45 am

Scary bathroom. I think sometimes it’s really worth it to save and renew the bathroom altogether. I like the floor, it’s bold.

  23. Cecistudio on June 30, 2021 at 2:45 am

wow! you just showed that it is possible to remodel from hideous to beautiful on a budget, without tearing down or calling a contractor, I am completely inspired!

  25. Suzie Cruz on June 30, 2021 at 2:46 am

Oh my god…. that’s my favorite flooring πŸ‘ In that exact pattern too. Haven’t bought it yet so I’d better do it soon, I heard it’s always on back order πŸ˜‰

  26. Tara Cherry on June 30, 2021 at 2:46 am

    Holy shit! That before OMG

  27. Brittney Rust on June 30, 2021 at 2:47 am

omg the setup is the EXACT same as mine, except i have the nasty pink wall tile and the seafoam green only half painted on. I can NOT believe that this bathroom has been like this since 1961 and NOBODY has changed it!!!!!!

  28. Alicia Molina on June 30, 2021 at 2:47 am

I would have gotten a better shower curtain.

  29. Barb Shelton on June 30, 2021 at 2:50 am

The window in the shower we also had. Yup for later: but a quart of marine paint to paint the trim of the window, it repels water like crazy!

  30. Judy Besse on June 30, 2021 at 2:50 am

    Looks great!!! Good job

  31. Nayla Johnson on June 30, 2021 at 2:51 am

  44. J Annibal on June 30, 2021 at 3:05 am

What a great job you did. I have the exact same Floor Pops vinyl tile I’m going to put down on my own bathroom – right now dark olive green. It was cool when I moved in six years ago but not any longer. I’m going as black and white as I can, working around some wall-mounted beige tile (shower/tub surround) and olive green glass tile "accent" above the sink, that runs from the backsplash all the way up to the ceiling the entire width of the vanity (fortunately, not a really large one). Inspirations galore, thanks, and I hope you’re enjoying the new bath these past many months since I posted this on 10/3/2020.

  45. Cynthia Gale on June 30, 2021 at 3:06 am

This was really a great and inspiring revocation project! Wonderful redo!

  46. MariYah Yisrael on June 30, 2021 at 3:07 am

I know this won’t be the most popular comment but I loved the green, I love the original tiles in those old bathroom and I cringe when people have one in such great shape and they tear them out or paint over them but your new bathroom is beautiful especially for diy and on a budget❣️

  47. shikha monga on June 30, 2021 at 3:07 am

You have done a great job, very much inspiring.

  48. Jennifer Scully on June 30, 2021 at 3:10 am

I like the green tile. Your before bathroom is actually cute and inviting imo. Way nicer than my bathroom!

  49. Lenore Nail on June 30, 2021 at 3:13 am

Great job. I wish you would paint the window sill. The bathroom looks brand new except for that.

  50. Kelly Piepho on June 30, 2021 at 3:14 am

This looks great. You should be proud. I’m all for saving money. So what if you have to touch up or repaint something. You have saved thousands. Your before bathroom actually was in better shape than mine was in. We got a new tub and tile. Still hasn’t been finished.
