Hi ,
You can save money on phones by having your phone linked up to Saskatchewan instead of Ontario or better yet when you go back to Mexico go to telcel and buy. Few SIM cards and link up to them for use in Canada USA and Mexico for $10 per month which gives some data but more important you get unlimited what’s app and unlimited phone calls in all 3 countries for almost free . You can connect from Canada but you need a SIM card and perhaps a bit of understanding Spanish. It’s a bit of a loophole getting this cheap rate but you just have to jump through a few hoops . We have travelled for 4 years in our van and we have a Mexican phone number and through B.C. tel a landline in our permanent home for our friends to call and messages go direct to email wherever we are in the world so we are easily contacted . Hope you can use some of that. Great video guys
Late to the party on this vlog but holy smokes guys! Your phone plan?! F**k me! I’m in the uk and my plan with Virgin is £30 (around $56 Canadian dollars) a month for 100GB of data and unlimited texts! I can’t believe that! How is that even legal?! Any data I don’t use is rolled over to the next month… it’s also free to roam in most European countries now! 😱 shocked!
damn yall need a new phone plan! I have unlimited text call (internationaly) and no data overages with telus!
I can’t wait for Starlink satelite system to become operational in North America. Approx $80 per month for high speed internet anywere in the country (not cities, too much interferences)… So with a few IP phone lines… it’ll be so much cheaper for us Canadian!!! Take it canadian cell companies in your behind!!! LOL.
I pay $28 a month w Koodo and survive on wifi when I travel. Fun fact; gps works without paying for data when I travel to the states from Canada. All you have to do is connect at any wifi source and start gps before you leave. It will guide you all the way but mostly where reception is available. Even if you loose the signal or you get a little lost and find your way back it will catch the signal again. You can even try it if you have data now by turning it off and just having your wifi signal on. Happy adventures everyone!
444$💀 I pay $30 (aud) for 10G and unlimited calling/texting. THATS INSANE
$2,500USD for 2 people is pretty impressive! no shame
Omg that’s way to much! Woooeee over three 3Gs a month guys!? Wow
I have a house in Calgary and Edmonton and I dont pay that much
This is the first video that I didnt feel like I needed to eat….. until you mentioned the second comment about loving food! hahah all your videos make me hungry! hahah thank you for your videos by the way! <3
For van lifers you guys are pretty high maintenance. You spend more because you expected more LOL I spent years on the road and also travelled and it really didn’t cost me a whole hell of a lot.
What is the average apartment rent, like you had?
Wow I can’t believe how expensive phone plans are in Canada 😯 Only thing I’d miss from “the states” my $50 unlimited plan 😂
for a whole year on the road using this ammount is about $29,874 USD
Ummmm that phone bill is a robbery
your van life costs more than my apartment life. LMAO fail.
<3
Thank you for sharing. I am curious to hear more about van expenses like having to pay for parking overnight, filling your water tank, etc. ❤️❤️❤️
While that total may sound high, I have friends who spend $300 just on coffee! Also, you are not paying rent! That 💰 is going instead to maintaining your van! I have seen what you buy at grocery stores/street vendors and it is quality stuff! And for some of my friends-that is their liquor bill!
I am so impressed you shared this, very interesting and personally-it is none of anybody’s business!
Thank you for being so open. As soon as I can get my own budget in rein, I’ll be getting your chai!
3200??? Thats too much, you can buy a 5 bedroom house for that
Is it just me or is it funny how Eamon didn’t talk for the first whole minute of the video? 😂
It is not cheap to do it right.
I wonder how cheap you could do it
Wait what?? Your phone bill is $440 A MONTH??? how is that even legal!?
guys, in usd, is this was every month. You would only have to make 35000 dollars a year. Get a decent job from home, and you’re set dude. I am totally down to do this one day!
In India the same plan is 10 usd for 3 months.
You look EXACTLY like Mandy Moore. Not even kind of like completely lol
125$ on coffee lol i spend tht at dunkin every week lol
WTF CANADA🥵?!?! Those phone bills are outrageous!!!! 😩😩😩😩😩
don’t they have coupons for food shopping which you could offset to cover other costs!.
125 is for coffee, but I see it as paying for internet, office rent, electricity, water, and heat/Air conditioning. I mean that’s a bargain.
8:30 ….pretty sure that’s the Cape Breton tartan at that market table,,,,,it’s where I’m from and currently living,,,,I use to live in Toronto as well for 6 years!!!! ✌🏼❤️😊.&🌱
That’s pretty mad.
I own two business and I live in a house and all my expenses are £780 a month 😂.
I want to live in a van full time one day and hope for sure it want cost anywhere near that 😂😂😂
Wow, these numbers are thrifty! Enjoy your youth 🤪
400$ is way to much. in ch i pay 90$. 1 Number, 1 Line, flatrate, unlimited dataplan at max speed and 4 sim Cards.
and by unlimited i mean unlimited. 10TB/Month was no Problem
I’m building a van
now its 2021. get Starlink.
That’s actually not bad at all. We spend $3000/month on rent alone ….
I’m in Toronto too! Why don’t you guys have a US and Canada roaming plan? They offer them at Bell!
You can buy a nice house in the States for what you pay on your fixed bills.
That is bonkers for your phones! I pay £10 a month with unlimited class, texts etc data is huge too sorry cannot remember what it is. I use my phone and iPad every day and have never gone over my monthly bill!
I hope you have google fi by now! 😮
Starts at 3:12
LOL you spent more than I make in a month! As you said though there are two of you.
I want to get a conversion van and start van life with that. Plenty of room and bed/couch/ entertainment system built in lol
Those phone bills might be sky-high, but on the upside as Canadians you don’t need to fork out for health insurance.
Sorry $444???? My phone bill is $20 😂
Telll me what did you do when the you got thirsty? Where’s the water go?what if you need the wc but you don’t have it
You guys are idiots to pay that phone bill. You can get unlimited for 25$ a month in the states.
How much does health insurance cost?
Lol your living expenses are huge.
