Do you have to worry about expansion on stairs?
I have watched so many tutorials that left me still feeling uneasy about tackling this project. You explained this so well I actually feel like I can do this now having watched this, thank you.
Use white melamine.
If Bob Ross did flooring.
How would u do them without cutting the nose ?
I really appreciate you taking the time to do this demonstration. Im doing my stairs to my basement this weekend. Wish it was only 3 stairs lol. But you’ve helped me alot with the video. Thanks again.
👍 спасибо за инструкцию
Any recommendations on how to transition from a top step which meets LVP that is running perpendicular with the stair treads? It would be great if I could have the nosing on the top step butt up and look flush next to the perpendicular planks on our second floor. Any ideas?
Do you need nail down the plank? Or glue just fine?
Ok.
Thanks for the professional tips and tutorial videos🙏🙏
When adhering risers to the stairs do i need to use any additional screws or nails to hold the vinyl/mdf in place or will the adhesive do the trick on its own? Thanks
Next time try D 815
Great video Southern Boys. Enjoyed the details. I wonder why you didn’t use that handy scribing tool to measure the mdf for the riser tho.
You are awesome 👏
Great Video! How do I measure the stairs for flooring ?
Thank you so much for this
Would you do this on stairs that have an open back stair case?
here is a great way to do stair nosing…https://youtu.be/v627jfPhNBU
Hey great video man thank you for the useful info your videos are by far the most helpful! Quick question i am looking to install vinyl planks on my wooden steps but i am concerned about the noise in my tenants apartment below. Can I use an acoustical underlayment to deaden the sound? If so how would i install these? Not sure if they glue down or not.
My secret weapon is a heat gun…I live in Canada so it’s cold….throw a heat gun on high for 25 30 seconds back and forth with a fresh blade, will cut like butter. Door jambs , heavy risers, full length width cuts anything you wish!
Such an underrated channel!!!!
Can you use pl premium?
i got vinyl with one mil pad. should I glue or nail? total flooring width is 6mil Mohawk waterproof rigid
Great tutorial video! Especially for beginners thanks!🙏🏾
Helluva video. Thanks a lot. This was super thorough.
Thanks for publishing this – just what I needed!
What do you do when the existing stair treads (circa 1975) are uneven (cupped) front to back? So basically there is a hump in the middle of tread running the length of the tread. How do you level it so the LVP has support along it’s entire length? I was thinking shims, but that would leave gaps and therefore no support in spots, which I think might create spongy spots.
Great tutorial thank you
You took your time with every step and made it perfect! But, I’m wondering are you not using baseboards? Also, how come you didn’t use weights?
Ok?
It says for beginners yet he pulls out all these saws. Nice stairs but I can’t do this
First thing you need to do is get rid of that god-awful tapping block that thing was destroyed ord’s
Those nosings don’t even meet code where I’m from. Need a 1” overhang and can’t stick up about tread
Great video. Thanks for it.
Thank you for the thorough video.
I’ve noticed other folks strip the backing off of each plank so that the glue works better. You mentioned that the flooring you used has cork so it wasn’t necessary. Is there a special glue that works best with cork or would any construction adhesive work? I’m about to put some cork-backed vinyl flooring on our stairs and I can’t seem to find a good answer and I don’t want to screw it up.
If my stairs treads are too rough, can I use the same MDF for an underlayment?
How much can I expect to pay someone to install vinyl plank on 12 steps ?
Awesome video, man. Very helpful and will be referenced many times when I do my own stairs. Cheers.
Great video this will be my next project to do this weekend.
This guy is saying you can’t stretch a board…. Haven’t put ever seen a board stretcher?
Can ardex be used as the primary glue for the whole plank? Or just the nose?
Thank you SO much for this video!!! My husband and I used your method on our stairs today. We appreciate you!!!
Should the underlayment on each vinyl plank be removed?
Great video on vinyl plank on stairs. My home has floating steps and I want to have vinyl planks installed. Is this something not typically done? I have not seen any videos on how this should be done.
everyone shows doing this with stairs that
have an open end
Ok….
I’d buy you a lunch for this tutorial if we met bro thank you
Great video, thanks. So you don’t adhere the tread to the stairs? Only the nose to the tread? What if the tread moves while you’re walking on it?
