Woman Living in Her Off-Grid Ambulance Camper Conversion | FULL-TIME VAN LIFE

Woman Living in Her Off-Grid Ambulance Camper Conversion | FULL-TIME VAN LIFE

Take a full tour of this stunning DIY conversion of an ambulance into a camper van, built by Amanda and her dad over 7 months. The vehicle is a 2006 Ford E-350 cutaway that used to be an emergency response vehicle for the US Navy. Amanda bought it for $10,000 CAD and the conversion cost an additional $10,000 CAD. Outfitted with a full kitchen, fixed bed, work station, closet, composting toilet, solar power, and a woodstove, this van is ready for off-grid adventures! Amanda is a solo female traveler in Canada who is passionate about baking, making music, and yoga, and she works as a voice-over actor using a portable sound booth in her tiny house on wheels.

A FANTASTIC job on the interior. Isn’t it amazing on how much you REALLY NEED to be completely. Only a few pairs of jeans, tee shirts, tops, and shoes, Fannys your Aunt, and Bobs your Uncle. Best of luck to you on your travels.

Being a woman alone on the road can be dangerous So, the fact that she is in a camouflaged vehicle, is probably really comforting for her. It still looks like a working ambulance. I would have never known this was all inside! Mind blown 🀯

10 years Vanlifing in Western U.S, here. Los Angeles County, CA got rid of their no sleeping overnight in a vehicle within our County – Ordinance. Not a single cop has knocked at 1:30AM in 4 years. Lockdown was heaven because county sherrifs were told to leave people RV’ing or living in vehicles alone.
Great carreer line for somebody on the road! There’s plenty of voiceover work in L.A. 22Β°C and 25% humidity all year. Hasn’t dropped below 3Β°C on the beach (2 miles away) in 6 years now.

What about your shower and bathroom needs, how did you include those necessities into the ambulance camper? Nice camper by the way, do you ever get scared especially at night while parked in wooded areas, I know I would be!
