Woman Living in Her Off-Grid Ambulance Camper Conversion | FULL-TIME VAN LIFE
Woman Living in Her Off-Grid Ambulance Camper Conversion | FULL-TIME VAN LIFE
Take a full tour of this stunning DIY conversion of an ambulance into a camper van, built by Amanda and her dad over 7 months. The vehicle is a 2006 Ford E-350 cutaway that used to be an emergency response vehicle for the US Navy. Amanda bought it for $10,000 CAD and the conversion cost an additional $10,000 CAD. Outfitted with a full kitchen, fixed bed, work station, closet, composting toilet, solar power, and a woodstove, this van is ready for off-grid adventures! Amanda is a solo female traveler in Canada who is passionate about baking, making music, and yoga, and she works as a voice-over actor using a portable sound booth in her tiny house on wheels.

Congrats to Amanda and Dad on superb execution of so many great ways to minimize but not lose utility. A very impressive DIY conversion. Travel well.

Nice build but wouldn’t be for me. People died in Ambulances I’d be afraid of ghosts.
Well done young lady .
Inspirational videoπ
I laughed when you said everyone wanted to know what was behind the passenger seat door. I did tooπ€£π€£
Beautiful build!! Well done! Your dad, mom, and you are really creative and have done great craftsmanship on the van! One of the best van-homes i have seen!!
Nice setup — I LOVE that color and it’s exactly the color I want for my rig.
You are very beautiful
Looks wonderful. What else do you need other than a shower and bathroom.
What brand is the wood fire stove? How much is it?
What about the bathroom
The ambulance π β₯ π conversion is super amazing π π. I am very impressed with the build π π.
Badass
Where’s your toilet?
That is awesome
how many mpg do you get? Do you spend a lot of gas money?
Your Rig is awesome! Hope to see you on the road.
This woman is just insanely wise in my humble opinion.
where does she shower or is it sink baths?
A FANTASTIC job on the interior. Isnβt it amazing on how much you REALLY NEED to be completely. Only a few pairs of jeans, tee shirts, tops, and shoes, Fannys your Aunt, and Bobs your Uncle. Best of luck to you on your travels.
My advice keep a book of there recipes some have good some have bad as a chef for 15 years I have about 6 recipes books in hand from my chefs that I work with over the years keep up the good work and
Being a woman alone on the road can be dangerous So, the fact that she is in a camouflaged vehicle, is probably really comforting for her. It still looks like a working ambulance. I would have never known this was all inside! Mind blown π€―
10 years Vanlifing in Western U.S, here. Los Angeles County, CA got rid of their no sleeping overnight in a vehicle within our County – Ordinance. Not a single cop has knocked at 1:30AM in 4 years. Lockdown was heaven because county sherrifs were told to leave people RV’ing or living in vehicles alone.
Great carreer line for somebody on the road! There’s plenty of voiceover work in L.A. 22Β°C and 25% humidity all year. Hasn’t dropped below 3Β°C on the beach (2 miles away) in 6 years now.
Beautiful inside
Lovely van many can happens specialy tour every places, get to knows new people learn ideas boot special you learn something to them ihinks you got freedom. But if need partners i can go with you for lifetime.
Just purchase a small house very small mortgage..less than your fuel amount

You are so beautiful and amazing RV… do u ever come to florida?
I wish I could think of a career I could take with me!
Wow this is very nice, so much more room, then some of the vans I’ve seen π up stay safe.
What about the bathroom
Very nice
Beautiful ππΌππΌππΌπ
Just don’t believe. "I don’t miss having running water in any way."
What about your shower and bathroom needs, how did you include those necessities into the ambulance camper? Nice camper by the way, do you ever get scared especially at night while parked in wooded areas, I know I would be!
this is so awesome…imagine the action this thing has seen, people who died, or were brought back to life too…its huge and awesomely done.
